Bio

Mounir Ouanaimi was Adjunct Assistant Professor at Northwestern University’s Qatar Campus (NU-Q) where he taught Arabic for Media courses between 2010 and 2020. In addition to being a language teacher, Mounir held leadership positions at the Institute of International Education, Georgetown University, Northwestern University, Hamad bin Khalifa University’s Translation and Interpreting Institute, and Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. He was also the recipient of a Fulbright FLTA Grant at Idaho State University where he taught Arabic to ISU students and served as a cultural consultant. Mounir holds a MA in Applied Linguistics and a BA in English Language and Literature. He has academic interests in language education, discourse analysis, digital media literacy, K-12 reform, and project management.
