I am an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at Frostburg State University.&nbsp; Before coming to Frostburg I taught at Colgate University, Hamilton College, and Utica College, in Upstate New York.&nbsp; I earned my Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and my B.A. from U.C.L.A.&nbsp; Courses I teach at Frostburg include Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, History of Modern Philosophy, Philosophy and Women, Philosophy of Science, and Skepticism and the Search for Truth.&nbsp; My primary area of research is on the ethics and epistemology of the 17th-century French philosopher René Descartes.&nbsp; My other areas of research interest include history of philosophy, feminist philosophy, ethics, and epistemology. <br> <br> <br>
