Bio

Tim Robicheaux was born and raised in the small Cajun town of Eunice, LA. He attended Louisiana State University as an undergraduate and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for graduate school. He has earned master’s degrees in both psychology and in legal studies. He expects to earn his Ph.D. in psychology and the law this summer. His research has emphasized jury decision making and eyewitness memory. His dissertation explores the relationship between stress and eyewitness memory.

Tim joined the Department of Sociology and Criminology as a lecturer in August of 2009. He teaches a broad range of courses for the department including Organized Crime; Race, Crime, & Justice; and the Sociology of Deviance. He has also taught Forensic Psychology in the Department of Psychology.

In the few minutes each week that he is not working on teaching and research, Tim enjoys relaxing, hiking in the beautiful Pennsylvania forests, and spending time with friends and family. He has a beautiful 3-year-old daughter, Emmry, who is the most important person in his life and has a tendency to keep him occupied.
