Bio

Alexandra Tsatsou (Msc Urban Management and Development, IHS Erasmus University Rotterdam; MSc Architectural Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) is a Research Assistant at the Urban Strategic Planning and Climate Change Management units of IHS. Before her graduate studies at IHS she worked as an architect - urban designer on projects related to new towns, social housing, land redevelopment and urban planning in the Netherlands, Sint Maarten and China. At IHS, her thematic focus areas are public space, climate change and urban resilience. Her research interests include development of tools and methods for analysis of the built environment in relation to these topics. In IHS she has contributed to research projects related to sustainability benefits assessment, multi criteria analysis for climate change adaptation, port cities and climate resilience, development of tools for inclusive placemaking. Moreover, she has participated in advisory projects related to urban economic development and urban projects portfolio analysis, while she also supports the IHS educational activities in the master's course and short trainings.
