This is a video solution for practice exercise 3. For practice exercise 3, we want to start by uploading and opening the file C03-W3-PE-03. We're going to expand the body's folder and hide surface 1 and surface 2, showing only Body 5 and Body 6. We then want to edit the subdivided feature, We want to take a look at the Selection Sets folder. And notice that we have four Selection Sets. Under Selection Set 1, if we select the first option, it will show which face is highlighted. Selection Set 2 will show the secondary phase. From the modified dialog box, we're going to create a bridge going from Selection Set 1 to Selection Set 2. I want to make sure that preview is turned on and we want to make sure that the vertices are in the same location. You may need to move a vertice, as well as adjust one of the arrows to ensure that we don't have any twist in the bridge. Select OK, and view the bridge between the upper and lower sections. We're going to repeat this with Selection Set 3 and Selection Set 4. Select Modify, Bridge, and for side 1, we use Selection Set 3. And for side 2, we'll use Selection Set 4. Again, we need to make sure that the vertices are in the same location. And you might have to grab the arrow and move it around to ensure that we don't have any twist. Select OK, and now we've created a secondary bridge. Once the bridges are complete, select Finish Form. Back in the model workspace, if we expand the body's folder, you'll notice that we only have a single solid body, made up of the subdivided pipes. We can show the main body, and note that we've made it the subdivided body inside of the main body. Go ahead and save the file.
