In module 3, you'll test the ideas you generated for feasibility and select one or more you believe have the best balance of impact versus risks. For each of your ideas, you'll examine whether the idea is utilitarian or merely just interesting or cool. How marketable and saleable it is, both internally and externally, as appropriate. How well it can scale, and whether the organization has the necessary skills and technologies to develop and implement it. You'll also consider the legal, ethical, and potential societal implications of each idea. And of course, you assess each ideas anticipated economic impact on the organization and its stakeholders. Again, you'll be provided a template for compiling and analyzing this information along with inspirational reading on the topic. Remember, for each feasibility factor, gather what background information you can via research, interviews or estimates. And if you must make assumptions, as we always do, be sure to document them and document them well. Yes, there are a lot of factors to consider in prioritizing and selecting data and analytics products or solutions, but together they should paint a clear picture of each and enable the best ones to float to the surface.
