Welcome to module four. Wow, you've just been introduced to some of the most important Cloud Identity security features. Now let's talk about creating a solid approach to Mobile Management. Your organization's users may want to access their corporate services like their business applications on their mobile devices. This module will help you understand and practice using Cloud Identities in mobile management tools to not only help your users access your services, but also keep them secure. We'll follow the same format as in the previous modules. So you'll have a chance to establish a Mobile Device Management approach in your own Cloud Identity domain in the admin console. By the end of this module, you'll be able to navigate the Mobile Management module in the Cloud Identity console, you'll be able to add a mobile device to your domain, and you'll be able to set up policy for mobile management. Before we get started, it's important to understand that many of the mobile management features that we're going through in this course are only available in the advanced mobile management feature set. Your Cloud Identity free trial allows you to view and use these advanced features. Basic mobile management features allow you to secure devices with a screen lock or passcode and have the ability to remotely wipe corporate accounts from devices. Advanced mobile management features give you more control over device policies and passwords. That give you the ability to manage apps on Android and Apple iOS devices. And lastly, the ability to wipe all data from devices. The features that we'll be going through below are all available in the advanced management feature set. Let's take a few minutes and focus on the mobile management tool sets available to your organization. As an administrator, you can manage, secure, and monitor your users' mobile devices. You can manage a range of Android and iOS devices. You'll be able to enforce screen locks or passcodes to secure devices. You can protect data on managed mobile devices by making sure that users set a screen lock or passcode thus ensuring that corporate data will only synchronize when this requirement is met. You'll be able to wipe corporate data on devices if a device goes missing or an employee leaves your organization. You'll be able to view and search for devices and export device details without the need of an installed agent. As mentioned, you'll be using advanced mobile management. So we'll walk you through turning this on for your organization in the admin console and assigning different settings to a group of devices. You will do this in the following exercises, and that will allow you to navigate and practice the features we'll be going through. Since you have already set up some basic organizational units for your organization, you can use these organizational units to apply distinct mobile management policies to these different units. You can control who can access corporate apps and data on their mobile device by applying specific settings to devices in that organization. You can view managed mobile devices in the admin console to get more information about each device and user. Here, you can view details such as device compliance to determine whether a device adheres to your organization's policies. You can view device management statuses to monitor whether the device is approved, deleted, account wiping, or account wiped, and many more. You're also able to wipe accounts and device data. You'll see user details to view device details like usernames and email IDs. You can review policy profiles to see details such as the last time the device synced, password status and device privilege. You'll see device properties to see key information like the device type and ID. And finally, you can get aggregated reports to review trends or see an overview of administrative information like the number of active managed devices and users. As you work through the following exercises, you'll help your organization establish some of the basic mobile device policies. You'll also learn where to find many of the features that we've just introduced. Good luck.
