Welcome to the Capstone Project for Data Analysis and Presentation Skills,
the PwC approach specialization.
In this final capstone project,
you'll apply the skills you've learned by
working through a "mock" client business problem.
Each week our new client, Michelle Tran, V.P.
of Operations from Electric Growers,
will consult with you on the company's challenges and what she's looking for from you.
With your knowledge and experience,
I'm going to have you lead the team.
You'll be provided a set of data to analyze,
uncovering the business insights.
Then, you'll create and visualize your findings before
recording a video to present your recommendations to the client.
Before your first meeting with Michelle,
make sure you take time to understand the client,
who they are and what they do.
Take a look at the research on Electric Grower's and Michelle's
bio that an associate on your team prepared for you.
As you work through the capstone project,
keep in mind what you've learned.
We started out in the first course introducing you to data analysis,
talking through some of the concepts,
and giving you a process to follow when determining
the needs of the analysis you are going to conduct.
In the second course,
we work with Excel to learn its functions and how it can be used as a tool to collect,
clean, and analyze data.
In the third course, we built upon those skills
by teaching you how to work with data sets,
create scenarios, and how to create impactful visuals to tell the story of the data.
Finally, we talked about delivering
effective presentations and gave you some tools to make the
most of an opportunity to present your findings to a client or other stakeholders.
Now, in this capstone project you're going to put it all together.
You're going to determine your approach for analysis,
use the information you've been given to conduct an analysis,
determine the best way to show your findings,
and then plan to deliver your results to a client.
Make sure that you really listen to what Michelle is asking for each week.
The more analysis you can do will help you
come up with the right strategy by the end of the month.
As you work through the capstone,
you can always refer back to any of the information
presented in the prior courses you took in this specialization.
We want you to have the best experience possible with this project,
and to come away feeling confident enough to start using your new skills.
And as with all new skills -- the more you put them to use,
the better you'll become over time.
