* For this course, you will be using SAS Viya for Learners to work with SAS Data Studio and Visual Analytics. SAS Viya for Learners is a full suite of cloud-based software that supports the entire analytics life cycle - from data, to discovery, to deployment. If it's your first time working with SAS Viya, it may be a bit difficult to familiarize yourself with the environment, determine where everything is located, and work on the practices all at once. In this video, I'll give you some tips for working with SAS Visual Analytics in Viya for Learners. Typically, when I sign in to Viya for Learners, I'm brought to SAS Drive. Here, I can use the All tab in the canvas to locate a report and open it. Alternatively, I can use the hamburger icon in the upper left corner to access Visual Analytics and open a report from the Home pane. [silence] Now, I can edit the report. The left pane contains icons that enable you to work with data, objects, suggestions, and view an outline of the report. The right pane contains icons that enable you to work with options, roles, actions, rules, filters, and ranks. Every practice in this course contains a starter report. These starter reports have data assigned and usually contain multiple objects and consist of multiple pages. Some starter reports do not contain any objects, but they do contain data. The purpose of those practices is to create the content for that report. So, don't be worried if you open a report and it appears blank. In the right pane, click the Data icon and start creating the report. Let's get started learning how to use SAS Visual Analytics on SAS Viya.
