The theme starts out way back by developing navigation skills in own town and understanding how to use like digital maps, street view, and GPS coordinates facilitating positioning ourselves within the globe. In classroom, children explore the Earth with guided instructions and try to find their own position within by identifying the surroundings. Later on, the class watches a demonstration in space journey, which gives an overview on how the planets are related to each other. Identifying each planet and retrieving facts already learned. Children take notes during classroom activities within their digital copybooks, which they upload to the file storage system and drop it into their own blogs by the end of each class. Each school subject has own area in the learning management system where the plan for the year is developed by the teacher. Digital learning materials, activities and other resources, homework and blogs, are also stored here, giving a structure for the developing knowledge. These materials can also be accessed from home, too. Using tablets for learning also means that they can be moved around when needed. Augmented reality application provides hands-on control over vehicles sent out for exploration to Mars. In other applications allowed to take the position of the different planets, that would not be seen with bare eyes otherwise. And their position could be also compared to that of the Sun, which is obvious in daytime. Project activities can be followed through the written instructions provided by the teacher. Children search on the internet to find details on the different planets and try to put together in group work, what they themselves have an understanding of, to produce a video. Which they can share with their classmates and upload to the learning management system to enrich the evolving knowledge base. Group representatives can then give a short presentation in class, which they obviously enjoy very [MUSIC] [FOREIGN]
