Hello, everyone. In our last unit, you learned how to order a specific amount of food in a restaurant using such counting units as 인분 or 그릇 in Korean. '삼겹살 이 인분하고 콜라 하나 주세요.' '라면 한 그릇 주세요.' In this unit, we will practice reading the menu and ordering food with what we have learnt in this module. First, let's watch a video clip. Did you understand what they said in the video? Two people are in a restaurant and deciding what to eat. Let's check what was said. What shall we eat? I like galbi. How about naengmyeon? I like naengmyeon, too. Then shall we order? Yes. Excuse me. Galbi for two and a bowl of naengmyeon, please. 갈비 is a Korean grilled dish that are made with marinated beef or pork ribs. Now, listen and repeat after me. Well done! Now let's practice together. Answer my questions. Well done! Now practice with your friend. Very good. Now can you answer me? Okay. The answer to the question '무엇을 먹을까요?' could be, '저는 라면을 좋아해요', or, '라면을 먹어요'. The next question was, '떡볶이는 어때요?', and you could answer with, '떡볶이도 좋아해요.' or with, '떡볶이도 먹어요.' The last question was, '그럼 주문할까요?' and you could answer like, '좋아요. How well were you able to answer? Now, let's watch another dialogue. Did you understand what they said in the dialogue? Let's check again. First, the waitress said, 손님, 주문하세요. May I take your order, miss? The costumer asked, 잠깐만요. Just a moment. What's good at this restaurant? The expression '잠깐만요.' is used when you need time to think before you say something to the listener. The kalguksu is delicious. Then please give me two bowls of kalguksu and a bottle of soda. Okay. Now, listen and repeat after me. Excellent! Now listen to and answer my questions. Good job. Now practice with your friend. Now let's practice together. Think of me as a waitress in a Korean restaurant and ask for a recommendation. Very good. You can respond to '손님, 주문하세요' with a question like, '잠깐만요. When you hear '라면이 맛있어요.', You can order by saying, '그럼 라면 두 그릇 주세요.' Good! Now let's look at more dialogues where students are using what we have learned so far. In this module, you have learned various expressions you can use when you order food at a restaurant in Korean. I'm sure you can now order whatever you want when you go to a restaurant in Korea. In our next module, we will learn how to introduce places to shop in Korean with the information about famous shopping areas in Korea. I hope to see you next time. Bye.
