Now from our perspective, we've certainly been impressed with your interaction with
each other on the discussion forums.
Some recurring themes that caught our eye include questions about how one goes about
estimating and discount rating practice.
As well as, the importance of real options analysis to financial managers on a day to
day basis.
Now these two issues are so important in fact, that the entire fourth course of
the specialization, Alternative Approaches to Evaluation and
Investment, will be devoted to their consideration.
Now for the moment though, prepare yourselves for
two of the most interesting areas of finance.
Firstly, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring, where we
think about the impact on firm value with firms getting bigger or smaller.
And then secondly, one of my personal areas of interests, derivative securities,
that is, options, forwards, and futures contracts.
Where we'll distinguish between long puts, short puts, long calls, short calls, and
long and short forwards.
I'll see you on the forums.
